Your Child’s Craft Corner

   As craft activities become more frequent, a well-organized craft corner can help your child use materials responsibly and put them away.

   Choose one table or area and agree that crafts happen there—not on the bed or dining table—and that food stays elsewhere.

   Sort supplies together. Keep paper in a drawer, crayons and colored pencils in cups, and glue and scissors in a tool box so every item has a home.

   After each activity, invite your child to return the materials they used.

   Once the space has been used for a while, look together for any change that would make it easier to work in and tidy.
