- At home
- About 15 minutes
Steps
- 1
Choose an open toy box, a long strap, and several favorite toys or everyday objects.
- 2
Place the toys inside and weave the strap across the opening to make gaps in different sizes.
- 3
Shake the box gently in front of your seated baby and invite them to reach for a toy.
- 4
The strap may block the first attempt. Wait and watch whether your baby changes hands, turns the object, or repeats the same action.
- 5
Give them enough time to explore their own approach.
- 6
If repeated attempts lead to frustration, demonstrate one new method, then let your baby try it.
- 7
If your baby becomes interested in the toy after removing it, pause the challenge and play with the toy together.
